Traditional Library Services
A print collection is available at both the Library Commons and the main Library. The collection at the Library Commons is considered reference but may circulate overnight with permission of the librarian. Material at the main Library, with the exception of print journals and reference books which are non-circulating, can be checked out by Greenville Health System (GHS) staff for two weeks and may be renewed as needed. Lost or damaged material must be paid for by the borrowing patron. The general public may use materials in the Library during staffed hours. Our special collections include:
The GHS Archives, including manuscripts, artifacts, books and operates under the GHS Library located at Patewood Business Office.
This collection on psychiatry and behavioral medicine is incorporated within the main Library at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Located at Roger C. Peace Rehabilitation Hospital, this Library houses a small collection on rehabilitation medicine.
Shriners Hospitals for Children-Greenville Medical library collection and Medical Librarian Joye Edmonds are part of the GHS Library and remain fully operational to Shriners Hospital staff, both physically and virtually. Pediatric Orthopedics is a strong focus.
