Leadership and guidance of the GHS Health Sciences Center is provided by a number of councils and committees.
HSC Academic Operations Council (AOC)
The HSC Academic Operations Council (AOC) provides oversight and strategic direction of the clinical learning environment (CLE) of the shared health sciences center, which is comprised of a single large integrated healthcare delivery system where applied clinical research and education occur in partnership with multiple universities, including a medical school.
HSC Board of Managers (BoM)
The HSC Board of Managers (BoM) is the governing entity for the Health Sciences Center (HSC) and represents the interests of the HSC partners, by providing strategic direction for the business and economic development of the Health Sciences Center, LLC, a single-member LLC owned by Greenville Health System (GHS), which was formed to oversee and manage the clinical learning environment of GHS.
HSC Innovation Council
The HSC Innovation Council sets the strategic direction for the business and economic development functions of the Health Sciences Center, by providing assistance and vision to the HSC Management Team and making recommendations to the Board of Managers.
