Thank you for your interest in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program at Greenville Health System/University of South Carolina, Greenville. Our four-year Ob-Gyn Residency Program is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council on Graduate Medical Education and was recently re-accredited for a four-year cycle in 2012. With excellent board pass rates, our residents graduate well-prepared for practice and many have successfully pursued highly desired fellowships in one of the Ob-Gyn subspecialties.
We are a highly respected program with a passion to provide high-quality patient care in a supportive, team-oriented learning environment. We care for a very diverse patient population and are therefore strongly committed to building a workforce that reflects the diversity of the people we serve.

Our residents’ experiences are enhanced by the department’s commitment to research. Excellent research and library facilities, faculty mentors and a dedicated research staff have led to numerous publications and honors. A recent innovation to the research curriculum is our “Team-Based research” approach. Rounding out the educational experience is a robust schedule of conferences, skills labs and simulations.
The residency program is centered in Greenville, SC. Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, scenic Greenville offers the benefits of a large city while still maintaining a “small town” feel. Highlights of our community include:
