Research is required during the vascular surgical residency training program. Time is provided to work on clinical research under the direction of the faculty members. All faculty members in the department are interested in participating in research.
- Resident involvement in projects will generally mirror the interests of the faculty.
- All travel required to present papers at state, regional and national meetings, will be paid for by the department.
- Provisions are made to allow each vascular resident to attend at least one national vascular meeting each year.
Greenville Health System (GHS) has a research affiliation with Clemson University, located 20 miles from Greenville, where a separate section of vascular research has been established within the Department of Bioengineering.
