Description of internship position:
Intern will update schematics and flow charts of the banking structures, patient payment methods and credit card processes using Microsoft Visio. Analyze and graph banking and merchant service fees using Excel. Develop tip sheets for team members who are taking payments or gathering data using our banking online systems. Update various treasury procedure books to reflect current processes, data sources, contacts and other pertinent information. Other treasury projects as needed which could include real estate analysis, investment and/or insurance support.
Intern will gain an understanding of how an investment program can be efficiently structured for a not-for profit healthcare system. Intern will gain exposure to the healthcare finance field through the corporate treasury department of a not-for-profit health system. Particular areas of focus/learning will include investments, cash management, insurance and debt/lease financing. Internship seeks to prepare individuals for potential employment in healthcare treasury or the investment management field, to develop basic skills required for healthcare industry banking and cash management and accurately document a business process and make easily understandable to someone unfamiliar with the process.

Notes to applicants:
Internship will consist of 2-3 projects covering a range of treasury functions including investments, banking and insurance. A portion of time will also be spent shadowing, attending meetings and studying basic treasury concepts.
