Description of internship position:
To educate students in the field of exercise science through creating different access to clinical rehabilitation, health and wellness, as well as performance training moralities. To better equipment individuals for the clinical exercise workforce in rehabilitative programming. To better equipment individuals for Health and wellness education. To better equipment individuals on overall fitness development/ Performance of general populations.
Interns will be equipped in all clinical measurements in evaluating patient risk and or indications and contraindications for exercise. Interns will participate in classroom education on all modalities of health ed. Interns will shadow conditioning specialist in different training styles and participate in teaching small groups. Interns will be efficient in taking blood pressure, measuring O2 saturation and exercise fatigue levels. Interns will complete at least 8 of 10 classes on health education. Intern must participate in at least 2 to 3 training sessions per week and one small group or Group X training session.
