Our Affiliate System

We are building one organization with affiliates in two regions. Our parent company, now known as Prisma Health, supports both affiliates with overall direction and leadership as we continue to align. We will soon share one brand across the entire organization to better reflect this. The rebranded Palmetto Health-USC Medical Group will continue to operate as a joint venture between the Midlands affiliate and the USC School of Medicine.

We are becoming Prisma Health in early 2019

Health Sciences Library

For up-to-the-minute healthcare information, the Health Sciences Library offers high-tech resources and high-touch services that support patient care decisions, staff education and advanced research. With two locations, one near the lobby at Greenville Memorial Hospital and a Library Commons as part of the USC School of Medicine Greenville, staff provide vital and timely information on diagnosis, treatment, nursing, cost containment and future health planning, using the latest technology.

Both physical and virtual, the Libraries offer print and electronic books and journals as well as databases in a wireless environment. Electronic resources are available for GHS staff, students and faculty at all campuses and most are accessible from any location.

For quick answers to medical questions or complex research, the GHS Library, staffed by six Masters’ level librarians and two technical assistants is your ready resource.
