Please contact the Office of Sponsored Programs as soon as you begin to consider submitting a grant proposal. Developing a successful application requires significant time and preparation. The office is here to help ease the administrative burden and reduce errors that may potentially remove your proposal from consideration by a sponsor.
Notification of Intent to Submit
Grant submission begins with notifying the Office of Sponsored Programs.
Principal Investigators (PI) should complete the Notification of Intent to Submit form no later than 10 business days before the sponsor deadline. Early notification is strongly recommended. Before notification can occur, the PI should reach out to the appropriate Academic Vice Chair to discuss the proposed project and potential ramifications for GHS.
- Provides a mechanism by which OSP is notified about a planned upcoming grant submission. PI may also call or email Office of Sponsored Programs: email@example.comfirstname.lastname@example.org /864-455-9861
- Is sent to the Academic Vice Chair for review/approval to move forward. PI should have spoken to their Academic Vice Chair previously. This allows for the AVC to assure that the project fits with the GHS overall mission to transform healthcare and to approve any additional preliminary expectation for financial support or resources required by the project
- Serves as the initial starting point for the Proposal Processing Form
